Hello again kiddies, long time no serious post. I sincerely hope you all have been enjoying the new site, and from messages left in the shoutbox it looks like you all have been. There are more changes to the site coming, with the addition of a picture gallery and rather unconventional message board on the way. I hope you all had a decent holidays, which just one more night of fun to be had before the new year. I for one, plan on thoroughly enjoying myself, which is why I'm posting now before I forget ;).
Not much has been going on in my life short of feeling accomplished for completing the new site. Still girlfriendless, no signs of that changing anytime soon either, but I'm still having fun and hanging out with friends so it's not all bad. In addition of my Christmas haul, I have recently aquired a second hand but well loved third generation ipod. It's seriously freakin sweet, I literally put my entire music collection on it and still have that the space free. With the downfall of Suprnova and the onset of the holiday season, my tv show downloading has dwindled to a trickle. Thankfully Japan has no concept of the "christmas lull" and are still putting out their shows, else I would be in serious fear of boredom. I've basically just been eating good food and sitting around listening to my music in 5.1 surround sound since I found that a plugin for it for winamp. Of course iTunes plays my music in 5.1 out of the box, but I just can't turn my back on winamp, I've been there from beginning with it.
Things watched since last time:
- Spy games, a pretty good movie that plays out like a heist movie but without stealing anything.
- Appleseed 2004, a remake of the original 80's anime and it's absolutely gorgeous!
- Blade Trinity, honestly only watched it to see Van Wilder kill some vampires.
- National Treasure, at what point did Disney get good at making non-cartoons that involve copious amounts of singing?
- Manchurian Candidate, really liked this one overall, reminded me a lot of Conspiracy Theory.
- Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, very much like Big Fish but more entertaining in my opinion.
- Ocean's Twelve, nothing like a good heist movie.
- Ong Bak, interesting Thai movie featuring the next big asian action actor.
- The Incredibles, very very entertaing movie.
- Eurotrip, featuring Nona from The Adventures of Pete and Pete all grown up and looking mighty fine.
- Seasons 1-3 and most of 4 of Farscape
- First 6 episodes of Fafner in the Azure
Things learned since last time:
- 2600 meeting is coming up on January 7th.
- All good things must come to an end, in this instance, I don't have weekends off next rotation. :(
